For the Read-A-Thon, students are encouraged to set a reading goal, log the minutes they read outside of school, and seek monetary pledges to support their goal. 

Students have the chance to win prizes based on the number of minutes they read and pledge dollars collected, as well as a donut party for the classrooms that cumulatively read the most! 100% of the money raised by the Read-A-Thon goes toward activities and initiatives led by DHES PTC! (Students are welcome to participate in the reading or fundraising portions of the Read-A-Thon, both, or neither - All are optional.)

What you can expect at the event is flash bingo which is an exciting version, using simplified cards, in different patterns like four corners, L shape, and blackout. We will have three rounds during the evening. The silent auction and basket raffles will be going on in the background during the Bingo. You can bid on auction pieces or buy raffle tickets for the baskets. The VFW will offer their full menu and a cash bar. It is a fun parents night out!

April's Dine and Share will be at River Street Tavern! Thursday, April 10, River Street Tavern in East Dundee will donate 20% back to our school for dine in or carry out orders. Show them a flyer or mention the dine and share when ordering. 102 N River Street, East Dundee, (224) 293-2033
